Geocaching Colorado is a Geocaching organization located in Colorado.

About Geocaching Colorado (or GCCO) is an organization that has been established to promote positive relations with land managers in Colorado, and increase communication in the geocaching community.

Geocaching Colorado is best known in the geocaching community for creating the largest active GeoArt in 2014. The GCCO GeoArt covered an area of 60x60 miles with 1,005 caches maintained by members of the GCCO board and volunteers. This GeoArt was able to be viewed by looking up cache [1] and viewing the nearby caches. The GeoArt was in the shape of the GCCO logo. On May 20th 2015, the GeoArt was unfortunatley archived due to land disputes.

Currently, GCCO has added to their mission:

Geocaching Colorado is an organization that has been established to promote positive relations with land managers in Colorado, and increase communication in the geocaching community.

We strive to provide geocachers and non-geocachers with information about geocaching and other topics that work well with our hobby/sport.

Geocaching Colorado works to support and advance the sport of geocaching for all of Colorado.

We strive to educate about geocaching principles, maintain an open and welcoming community, serve as a forum for responsible stewardship of our lands, act as a liaison with land agents to ensure access for geocaching, and promote geocaching as an enjoyable outdoor family oriented pursuit.

As part of their mission to assist in creating a community of cacher their website maintains a calendar of events for the state.
